How to Lose 30 Pounds in this Life Time for Good
The reason I started this blog is to support my efforts to direct my life more toward health & wellness. Since retiring from Delta Airlines in 2006, I’ve put on a few pounds and I have been trying to lose that weight and more – up, down – up, down – you know the routine.
As they say – a lifestyle change is needed. So, I am using this blog to put my goals out there publicly as a means to hold me accountable and give me added support. I weighed in at the gym (24 Hour Fitness in San Ramon, CA) the other day.
Starting weight 243.5 pounds
Goal = 210 pounds by 12/3/2010

I’ve ordered four books to help support my weight loss efforts:
- The Gabriel Method
- I Can Make You Thin
- You On a Diet
- Women, Food & God (My friend, Geneen Roth, is the author, so I thought I’d see what she has to say)
I’ll be ordering more books as I progress. Initial changes to my food intake are:
- Less Meat
- More Nutritional Density
- Go to Bed Hungry
- A Grapefruit for Desert
- More Sushi
